DefaultFamily
Family applied to elements that specify a weight/style but no explicit font-<name> and have no ancestor carrying one that Velvet rendered;
their descendants inherit the asset written there. A label with no font class and no ancestor
carrying one is not reached (Documentation~/fonts.md, "What DefaultFamily reaches"). Null or
empty leaves a weight/style-only element on the font its stylesheets and ancestors give it.
